About Elizabeth Hudson, CEO and Founder

Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hudson, PhD, is the founder and CEO of Ambitious Bio, the Cambridge, Massachusetts company building the biological ground truth that AI is missing. Ambitious Bio generates systematic population-scale, matched multi-omic data from human tissue at a depth, consistency and scale no existing resource offers – the foundational biological layer that frontier models need to learn how human biology actually works.

Hudson has spent her career at the intersection of science and engineering, scaling technical organizations from first prototype to public markets. As Vice President of Data Engineering, Design and Algorithms at Symbotic, a robotics company now valued at roughly $26 billion, she led the design of the distributed software and real-time control systems that orchestrate thousands of autonomous robots inside Fortune 100 supply chains, and helped carry the company to its Nasdaq listing ($SYM). She then served as Chief Technology Officer at Omega Funds, a leading life sciences venture capital firm, where she brought that same engineering discipline to biotech. From 2019 until 2025, she served as Vice Chair of the Advisory Board of the Harvard–Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics; she was the youngest ever member elected to a Smithsonian advisory board.

She is an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve, with previous assignments at units supporting the Office of Naval Intelligence and the Farragut Technical Intelligence Center; she is currently attached to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 8. She is also a twice-elected member of the Cambridge MA School Committee, where she is a leading voice for academic accountability and STEM.
